Avia Solutions Group Arena, formerly known as Siemens Arena, is the second largest indoor sports ground in Lithuania. Located in the old town of Vyarkiai in Vilnius, this arena serves as the main venue for basketball competitions and concerts.
The arena became famous from the earliest years of its creation, in 2005, when it hosted the final of the first season of the Baltic Basketball League. Five years later, the arena hosted the Baltic Basketball League finals again.
In addition, the Siemens Arena attracted the attention of the general public thanks to the performances of famous artists and bands such as Phil Collins, Patricia Kaas, Deep Purple, Depeche Mode, Linkin Park, R.E.M., Metallica and many others. Concerts at this venue have become real events in the world of music.
The arena is also becoming a home for high-level sports competitions. In 2009, the KHL match between SKA from St. Petersburg and Ak Bars from Kazan took place here, as the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg was occupied.
In 2011, the quarterfinal games of Groups E and F of the European Basketball Championship were held at the arena. This event attracted many fans of this bright and spectacular game.
Recreated in 2020 as Avia Solutions Group Arena, the venue continues to delight fans of sports and music. The matches of the World Mini-Football Championship 2020 took place here in the autumn season of 2021, leaving an unforgettable impression on all those present.
